New York Steak with Garlic Butter
Ingredients
- 2nonePainted Hills Natural Beef New York Steaks
- 1Tbsp.olive oil
- .5noneonion
- 4noneCloves grated garlic
- 4Tbsp.butter
- 2Tbsp.capers
- 1Tsp.kosher salt
- 1Tsp.table ground black pepper
- 2Tsp.of your chosen steak seasoning, “Montreal Steak” is a good one
Instructions
- Bring steaks to room temperature
- In a small bowl, combine salt, pepper, and the steak seasoning
- Apply dry rub to all sides of steak
- Prepare onions and 2 tbsp butter for use later
- Using a cast iron skillet, add olive oil and heat the skillet to medium-high heat.
- Cook steaks in skillet for roughly 2 minutes on the first side
- After flipping the steaks, add in the garlic, onions and 2 tbsp butter: cook for another 2 minutes
- Place steaks onions and garlic on a plate and cover for 5 to 10 minutes
- In a small microwave-safe bowl, microwave the 2 tbsp butter until fully melted. Stir in the capers.
- Cut steaks against the grain and plate them
- Apply melted butter, capers, garlic and onions to steak
- Serve and enjoy
